Runners know that 50km and 500km feel completely different. You must be brutally honest about your gear.
- Don't Guess Low: If you tracked the shoe on Strava/Garmin, use that exact number. If you are estimating, round up, not down.
- Photo Proof: You must photograph the outsole (tread), the heel collar, and any upper wear. Hiding tears or bald spots is an immediate ban.
- Sizing Details: If a model runs small or wide, say so. Help your fellow runner get the right fit.
We trade used gear, but we do not trade filth.
- The "Unboxing" Test: Before you list, ask yourself: "If I paid for this and opened the box, would I be grossed out?"
- Mandatory Cleaning: You must scrub the outsoles to remove mud/stones and wipe down the uppers.
- No Smells: If a shoe has a permanent odor that washing cannot remove, do not list it.
- Sanitize: We strongly recommend spraying the interior with a disinfectant shoe spray before shipping.
Since SwapStride does not handle payments, your word is your bond.
- Don't Ghost: If you get an offer, reply within 48 hours—even if it's a "no."
- Ship Fast: Once you accept payment, ship within 3 business days and send the tracking number immediately.
- Secure Payments: We strongly recommend using PayPal Goods & Services for protection. If you pay via Bank Transfer or "Friends & Family," you do so at your own risk.
